Types of Donor Insemination for Lesbians

Donor Insemination Methods:

  • -Intravaginal Insemination (IVI): Unwashed sperm is placed into the vagina during ovulation using a syringe or cervical cap. IVI can be done in a doctor’s office or at home.
  • -Intracervical Insemination (ICI): Washed or unwashed sperm are located in the cervix by means of a thin catheter and syringe which impulses the sperm into the catheter. ICI is done in a doctor’s office.
  • -Intrauterine Insemination (IUI): Washed sperm are positioned in the uterus by means of a thin catheter that is conceded through the cervix. IUI is performed in a doctor’s office.
