Why I want to be a surrogate mother:

Having children has always come easily to me. I have seen family and friends struggle with fertility and it has been heart breaking. If I am healthy enough to have a baby for someone else and help them complete their family, then why not be a surrogate?

Description of myself:

I am very timid at first, but once I get comfortable with someone, I am a very bubbly and outgoing person. I often put others needs before my own, and do what I can to make others happy.

My letter to intended parents:

Thank you so much in advance for considering me to be your surrogate. It feels so good to be able to help another person in such an important way. It will be such an honor to have the ultimate trust of a person unknown to you. To be chosen to carry the most precious creation of all, someone else’s child.

Looking for a surromom
Hi Trina, We would love to get to know you and explore the possibility of you being our surro.Let me give you some background information about how exactly we got here. It's been a challenging journey so far.We started off at one clinic and after seeing the doctor a handful of times I decided it was time for me to change clinics. Not only did the doctor not listen to my concerns but he recommended procedures that in hindsight I didn't need.He refused to grant me OHIP funding even though two different tests showed that my tubes were blocked.Instead he recommended laparoscopic surgery and then a Tubal Recanalization procedure to see if he could unblock them.To his credit though, both doctors were able to open my left Fallopian tube.I changed over to to my current clinic where we did 5IUIs with all but the first one being unsuccessful but I had a chemical pregnancy. We then decided to do IVF.I completed 1 IVF cycle that was not paid by OHIP.We didn't get pregnant on the fresh or two FETs that followed afterwards. The doctor then did an Office Hysteroscopy where she discovered scar tissue and mild endometriosis. It was also determined that my tubes were now officially damaged and blocked from my prior treatments. After she removed the scar tissue and endometriosis, we did get pregnant but only to have another chemical pregnancy. We decided that for our second IVF cycle we would do PGS.We found out that we were able to have "normal" embryos so we transfered a perfect embryo but with no luck.So now with our OHIP funded IVF cycles used up, we went to a third clinic for a second opinion. After looking through my file and allowing me to participate in his colleague's study to measure my uterus, he confirmed that implantation would not be successful and due to the size and shape of my uterus, he thinks a full term pregnancy is highly unlikely.I'm going to be honest, there have been a few tears this weekend. Not because I won't be able to get pregnant but because looking at this new journey seems almost impossible.Trying to find someone whom will be generous enough to carry our baby seems unlikely. That's the hardest part, finding someone.I've joined numerous Facebook groups, hoping to connect to someone, meet someone that will be the right match for us.At this point, we are not looking at agencies as the money they suggest we have is not something we have laying around. The clinic we are with said they will help with contracts, psych assessments and counseling. Thanks again for reaching out and giving me hope that there are compassionate and generous people out there.Anyway, I hope to hear from you soon, Sincerely, Christina

Hello Trina, We are a married couple who have been through a long journey of IVF and miscarriage.Last year we pulled out all the stops and did IVF in San Diego and preimplantation genetics on our embryos. We were so fortunate and in had a little girl who is now 9 months old.Because we are not young, we want to try to have a sibling for our little girl as soon as possible. If you are interested we are ready to go ahead with our one remaining frozen embryo ( a girl) and would love to speak with you.Thank you!
