Why I want to be an egg donor:

I would like to be a donor because I enjoy giving back. The idea came up when I was researching kidney donation. I wanted to do something for my 30th birthday that was meaningful and egg donation seemed less invasive than giving my kidney. Being able to help a individual or couple who may not be able to conceive would be a special experience. Giving what I have can assist in producing happiness for someone else.

Description of myself:

Friendly, passionate, trustworthy, loyal, curious, adventurous, funny and free spirited. I enjoy gardening, ice and street skating, baking, volunteering with the elderly and with immigrant and refugee children, reading, practicing yoga, crafting, listening to live music, spending time with family and friends and traveling/living abroad. I also like learning new things and trying out new activities. I have recently tried surfing, skydiving, sailing and I am learning how to play the ukulele. I have also been a vegetarian for over ten years (I do not consume any meat or seafood). Family is very important to me, and although I am single I do have a large immediate family that includes six full siblings and two half siblings.

My letter to intended parents:

I can only begin to imagine what it would be like to face fertility challenges or to want a child and not be able to. I understand this must be a long and difficult journey for many individuals and families. I was lucky enough to grow up in a large family, and I know the importance of family and the joy children can bring into one's life.
