My fiancee and I have been trying to start a family, but unfortunately we a child to have not been able to carry to full term. We miscarried with our first child at about 10 weeks into the pregnancy. When we got pregnant with our second child, we were told at about 20 weeks there were complications with the pregnancy and that it would be in our best interests to terminate, but after much discussion and thought, we deiced to get a second opinion. However before we could get our second opinion, I went into preterm labor at 22 weeks and unfortunately our daughter did not survive. With our third pregnancy, everything seemed to be going fine and other than a spotting issue at the beginning, everything was progressing normally, then at 31 weeks we lost our son.
We are both devastated that we have been unable to have children of our own and are now exploring other avenues in order to have a family. We are open to adoption, but would like to considering other options such as surrogacy first.
