paolo was born an raised in torino, italy.he studied law there, and then earned an llm at essex university in the u.k.he is a human rights lawyer and has worked in sierra leone and morocco, and is now working for UNICEF as the head of child protection in bosnia and herzegovina.paolo has one brother and two nephews.
bruce has donated sperm for three families (two lesbian couples and one single mother; five children total), which has been a wonderful experience, and paolo has gotten to know all of the children too.we see them whenever we can (two families are in new york, the other in california).
we would like to have a child in california so both of us can be on the birth certificate (only way for the child to be eligible for u.n.benefits - which are considerable).
