Starting my journey as a surrogate mother has been the most eye opening path I have ever gotten to walk on.Many intended parents feel extra precautious when choosing a surrogate.They want someone that is the healthiest of healthy, drama free, educated, clean lifestyle, a certain weight, and so much more.However, no one ever really told me the other half of being a surrogate.No one told me that i would get judged harshly or be given rude looks when i tell people that i am carrying a baby for another couple instead of my husband ( thank god im not single i can just bet the comments would have been worse).The agencies never tell us that this could put a heavy strain on our marriage.It could potentially put us in a situation where we could have to abort an innocent life.Dont get me wrong I love the feeling that i get giving the gift of life but at times it hurts to know the society i live in and raise my own children in is so self conceited that they dont care about others and giving back without wanting something in return.
