Explain your reasons for wanting a surrogate/donor:

My partner and I have often talked about how much we want our own kids, and need to find a surrogate mother to help us make that dream come true.

Dawn was born with an underdeveloped uterus. She found out in her late teens, after seeing the doctor because her period had not arrived. When she found out she couldn't get pregnant, she felt devastated.

How would you best describe yourself(s):

My partner and I have been common law for over 9 years, and have yearned to have children together. We are a heterosexual couple, and our lives are as if we're married.

Dawn grew up in China and Scotland. Chris grew up in central Ontario. Both of us are Canadians who spent our young adulthood in Toronto, and are living together in Ottawa, Ontario.

Although we are in Ottawa most of the time, we have family in Toronto and central Ontario. We also have our beautiful frozen embryos at a clinic in Toronto.

Dear potential surrogate,

We have been looking for someone like you to help us build our family. Will you help us?

We don't have any children yet, and are eager to have children -- we have a house and started arranging furniture for our hopeful children-to-be. We have frozen embryos that we hope can grow into children, and have been looking into what to expect on this journey ahead.

We are hoping to give our children the best that we can, raising them with love, attention and nurturing. Dawn grew up as a lonely only child. Chris grew up as the oldest in a family with 3 other siblings, often helping to take care of his siblings.

Dawn manages projects, for regulatory compliance, business improvement, and communication of information to the public. Chris works in shipping & receiving, and manages transportation logistics (e.g. coordinates customer deliveries).

Both of us enjoy being outdoors when we get the chance -- short hikes, car camping, etc. Dawn also likes to dabble around in the garden (growing fruit trees and vegetables). Chris also likes to listen to music and do occasional car & home improvements.

We believe in good morals and open communication, but are not actively religious. Dawn is friendly, organized, and a woman of integrity. Chris is laid back, fair, and a man of common sense.

We are looking forward to building and nurturing a family together. We would really appreciate partnering with you, and will support you in whatever way you feel best.
