Explain your reasons for wanting a surrogate/donor:

I cant say that I *** can not carry a child of my own because that is not the case and I don't want anyone under the impression it is.When I was 16 I was diagnosed with Epilepsy, I have been on the medication Epilim ever since.Of course being 16 I was never told about the implications this medicine could have if I became pregnant, however as I got older I was told, the main ingredient in the medication I take is sodium valproate, this is information taken off the epilepsy society website "New warnings and guidance on prescribing sodium valproate to girls and women with epilepsy were issued in January *** by the MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency). Research has shown that sodium valproate can cause serious problems in a developing baby.Of babies whose mothers take sodium valproate during pregnancy, up to 1 in 10 (10%) are at risk of having a birth defect, and up to 4 in 10 children (up to 40%) have problems with development and learning as they grow. Therefore sodium valproate should not be prescribed to girls or women who are pregnant, or who may become pregnant in the future, unless other anti-epileptic drugs (AEDs) do not work to control seizures, or they cause unbearable side effects.Seizures during pregnancy are also associated. For women requiring valproate treatment the risk of malformations is reduced when the daily dose is below *** My daily dosage is *** and I have tried other anti-epileptic drugs without any success. My sister has offered to carry a child for us, however she is having trouble conceiving her own child :(

How would you best describe yourself(s):

My name is Siobhan I'm 30 I'm an Assistant Accountant and have a wonderful partner Paul he's 35 and is a Bricklayer - We have been together for just over 8 years. Having children for both of us has never been a question, we've both always wanted kids.👶 We live in Dunedin, have our own house, our 11 month old pup Frankie 🐶 and 3 foster kittens 🐱🐱🐱 (one that is heading to be a foster fail 😊) and are ready to welcome a little miracle of our own into our lives.😍 Paul and I are outdoorsy, every Sunday is adventure day where Frankie and us go somewhere new.We like the simple things in life, good music, making good food, learning new things and exploring our beautiful country. We are foster parents helping Animal Rescue Network New Zealand and Dunedin Dog Rescue, fostering kittens/cats and dogs until they find their forever home.Family time is also a massive priority for us.

Use this space to communicate a letter to potential Surrogates/Donors:

The reason we are wanting to choose a surrogate is we want to give our children the absolute best life and that is starting from a foetus. We are aware of the serious risks becoming pregnant can have on both myself and a developing baby and feel it wouldn't be fair. We know this journey isn't going to be easy, isn't going to happen with a click of the fingers but thought we'd get the ball rolling. So I'm reaching out hoping to find a special women that would love to make our dream become reality. Thanks for reading our story. If you are interested or know of any one who is we would love to hear from you. Please feel free to ask any questions. 🌻 Siobhan and Paul 🌻
