I learned at the young age of 17 that I wasn't born with a uterus and that I wouldn't be able to have children without the assistance of a Gestational Surrogate. Although I came to this understanding many years before a young woman would typically consider having children, I instantly knew my path would be different and I've been planning for it ever since. For me to fulfill my dream of one day having a family, I built a successful career and balanced that with healthy living and surrounding myself with supportive family and friends..I hear it takes a village!
Of the many words that have been used to describe me, my most cherished are 3 simple words... 'Best Auntie Ever!’. When my 6 year old niece screams these words at me, my heart skips a beat. Family and friends are everything to me and I'm lucky to spend most of my free time laughing, traveling, or simply sharing a good meal with them. My furry son, Jax and I share our own special time together. Every weekend we hike at sunrise and I love that we always seem to meet new people along the way...I mean who can resist a boxer puppy? I'm also very involved with my community of Yogis who along with a few very special women have changed my life. We all share in a desire to be healthy and strong in both mind and spirit. I recently came across a quote that describes how I try to approach every day, 'Never regret a day in your life: good days give happiness, bad days give experience, worst days give lessons, and best days give memories.'
As I start this journey, I do so with such admiration and gratitude for the generous women who chose to be surrogates. I've encountered so many inspirational women throughout my life and feel privileged that one day I'll be able to tell my child about the woman who helped create our family. I’d love to sit with you and learn more about your story and see if this might be a journey we could take together.
