Explain your reasons for wanting a surrogate/donor:

We are heartbroken that we have been unable to (and will likely never be able to) have our own children due to medical problems. Unfortunately, a pregnancy is simply not viable for us and the doctors haven't been able to help make it possible. Nothing would make us happier than to have our own biological child and we are more than ready to expand our family.

How would you best describe yourself(s):

We are a loving couple approaching our mid-30s who have been married for over three years with no previous marriages. I’m in the U.S. military and my wife is a part-time teacher. We each come from close knit families and enjoy spending time with them – especially our nieces and nephews.

Use this space to communicate a letter to potential Surrogates/Donors:

Thank you for taking the time to read our profile and consider us for your surrogate journey. We currently live in southern Maryland and will be using a fertility clinic in the DC area. A GS who lives nearby would be ideal as we would prefer not to spend a lot on travel expenses but are willing to work with a surrogate anywhere in the US or Canada if it's the best match. Our primary concern in choosing a surrogate is finding a healthy woman able to carry a healthy child. Everything beyond this is flexible. In order to keep costs down and provide for our future child, we want to avoid the costs of going through an agency but will still require all testing and legal requirements to protect us, the surrogate, and the child. Our musts for a gestational surrogate: -21-38 years old -Maintains a healthy lifestyle. Eats well, exercises, not overweight -Free of STDs and any other diseases that could be passed to the child -Non-smoker. No illegal drug use. Not living with any smokers or illegal drug users -Psychologically and mentally healthy -Has delivered at least 1 child -Not at an above average risk for pregnancy complications or losses -No alcohol or caffeine use (during pregnancy) -No high risk sexual practices or recent tattoos or piercings -Lives in a stable home environment, may be married or single Our desires for a GS: -Financially Stable -No criminal convictions. -Has insurance that does not exclude surrogacy -Is a U.S. citizen or permanent resident -Eats organic and limits medication use -Willing to travel to DC clinic -Willing to give updates and allow the IPs to be involved with doctors’ appointments -Repeat surrogate -No health issues -Lives in surrogate-friendly state -Can give a vaginal birth (no previous c-sections) If you believe that you can help us on this journey to parenthood we would love to talk! Please tell us about yourself and what you’re looking for in IP’s and in your own journey as a GC.
