Explain your reasons for wanting a surrogate/donor:

We wholeheartedly believe you are the reason why we believe in this journey. We know it happens to other couples thus we believe in the right time and the right place we will eventually meet. Please allow us to elaborate. You must be a remarkable woman as this journey can be disruptive to your own family. It must sometimes feels like a one way street which involves a lot of physical and emotional disruptions in your life. We wanted to say we will share every ounce of this journey with you with all of our empathy no matter what. We believe we would be great "partners in crime" in this journey :) It must be a raw experience but you still believe that this is the most satisfying human experience - thank you for being inspiring. We wish to bring up a kid who can epitomize your compassion and your courage - and your willingness to consider giving life for others alone proves to us that humanity is full of compassion and inspiration. Whether you decide to learn from us, we wholeheartedly wish you all the best in your life and journeys. Our number #1 reason: We cannot have a baby on our own as we are a same-sex couple. Below are some other reasons: 1.Create a meaningful journey that only the right surrogate mother and we would share together 2.Fulfill a beautiful, heart-touching vision of ours: a child growing up as a humble, self-sufficient, compassionate, and optimistic human being. 3.Embrace our fatherly instincts and humanity as a gay couple

How would you best describe yourself(s):

My partner and I are opposites but we complement each other through life’s greatest moments and adversity. We have a solid relationship of 10 years. We are working professionals and we embody compassion and optimism. We firmly believe in our love. I would say I am the following: 1.Optimistic 2.Confident 3. Courageous 4.Authentic 5.Happy-go-lucky My partner, who is a great leader, would be described by others as follow: 1.Compassionate 2.Funny 3.Creative 4.Organized 5.Big Heart

Use this space to communicate a letter to potential Surrogates/Donors:

Thank you for taking the time to reading our profile. About myself (the “nice” father) Hello, my name is Matthew. At the age of 10, I, a happy-go-lucky boy, came to Canada with my parents and my younger sister.I grew up in a humble background with the backdrop of apartment buildings in the city of Hong Kong.I was an introverted boy.No pun intended – my favorite childhood hangout spot was to hide in the closet. Coming to Canada has transformed my self-confidence.My first school upon arrival in Canada was situated in the city of Port Coquitlam, British Columbia (located 27 km east of Vancouver).I still remember on the first day when I instantly felt the warmth of my first classmates/ friends in Canada – Angela wanted to try my mom’s homemade dumplings; Brent invited me to play basketball with him; Cheryl complimented my good look (ie.she was being kind.) It was these genuine experiences that shaped me into a confident and sociable person in the adult world. At the age of 35, I am currently working as a Manager for a large consumer Health company in Toronto. And I feel so, so lucky to be doing something that I am both passionate about and that I am good at. One thing that stays with me in life is my optimism.I thrive when challenges get thrown at me because they help me grow tremendously as an individual and as a business leader. My family, friends and colleagues would describe me as an optimist as they claim that “I always have a positive viewpoint.” Here is something silly about me though.Don’t laugh at me! I would often but randomly, almost secretly, look up to the sky and relish the most basic but beautiful things – the sky, the leaves, and the bird chirps. About my partner (the “strict” father) Alvin is the love of my life (not to mention that my mother is the hero of my life). At the age of 42, Alvin embodies maturity, leadership, independence, and compassion. Through the last 10 years of our relationship, Alvin and I have gone through the greatest journey together. He is one of the most compassionate people I get to learn from. His friends and colleagues always go to him for advice because of his empathy. Also, he can literally play with every single type of animals in this world (ok, maybe not the scary types). As far as hobbies, I consider myself adventurous.Growing up in the west coast (Vancouver, Canada), I love winter sports such as snowboarding.I also like doing yoga, hiking (which now became walking trails in the flatter Ontario), and biking around the city in Toronto. Moreover, I make a point in every stage of my life to volunteer in the community (ie.Canadian Red Cross) as one of my passions is to mentor youths (underprivileged youths) in the city to help them unleash their best self and entrepreneurial spirits. Alvin loves exploring the nature. In the summer, we would often visit cottage country such as Muskoka and other beautiful places in Ontario with our best friends. At home, Alvin is the “corporate chef” according to my colleagues.Besides cooking, he is also the Marie Kondo of our household.Just to give you a visual image - our clothing closet at home actually looks like a Club Monaco.Every piece of clothing is professionally folded. As you can probably tell, I am very thankful for this wonderful partner in crime in life. As far as my contributions at home, I am the finance "guru", a problem solving “guru” (ie.determine the scope of work with contractors to fix the eavestrough), and responsible for simple-effort type of tasks such as snow shovelling, raking leaves etc. We would be incredibly honored if you would embark this journey with us! Wholeheartedly, Matthew & Alvin
