Why I want to be a surrogate mother:
This is something I have wanted to do for a long time. While I was in the Air Force I had my two daughters and I just loved being pregnant. As a military officer it wasn't really practical (because of the demands of my job) to carry a pregnancy for someone else. When my husband and I got out of the military and he went to law school we were really busy with that and so I continued to put off this idea of helping someone to have a baby by being a surrogate. So now, at this point of my life, I have only a handful of years left to do this (I am 36 and most clinics have a cutoff age of 40), and my life is pretty much ideal for it. I am interested in being part of a team, to help bring the dream of a child come true for people who truly deserve to be parents. I just want to help. I think it is a good thing to do.
Description of myself:
I am an energetic, fun, yet practical mother of two. I think I strike a good balance with being adventurous, but still rational, in my parenting and general life decisions. I am a former Air Force Officer (7 years active duty), I am physically fit and really into healthy eating and living. My husband passed away a couple of years ago, and since then I have learned how to be happy even through heartache and hardship. I have found that I am a strong woman, while also being patient and kind to others as they work through this journey of life.
