Why I want to be a surrogate mother:

I want to give the gift of life to a person that is unable to have childen on their own.I have an amazing 8 year old son and I know how special it is to be a parent so I would love to help someone have a child and experience what I have in my own life.For a period in my life (I am willing to explain more in detail later) I thought I would not be able to have children on my own and it was devastating.I personally know that awful feeling so I want to help someone who can't do it alone.

Description of myself:

I have a heart larger than my body.I love helping people and have spent most of my adult career caring for elderly people and individuals with developmental disabilities.I am a mother of a bright, energetic 8 year old boy.I love being a mother and enjoy pregnancy.I am not ready to extend my own family currently but plan to in the future.I would love nothing more than to help someone have children that can not do it on their own.

My letter to intended parents:

Dear Intended Parent, We haven’t met, but I look forward to begin this journey with you.We’re about to go on a great journey together. Though we do not know one another yet, I am pretty sure that having to have me around wasn’t an original part of your plans.I am so sorry that your hopes and dreams have had to change to lead you to this point.For that, I want you to know, that I think you’re incredibly courageous people and I admire your strength.I also want you to know that I understand completely what trust you are placing in me and I do not take at lightly. Be assured that I did not this idea on a whim.It has been something that I have wanted to do for many years.You are why I am here.Without you, I wouldn’t be going on this journey.Thank you for giving me incredible opportunity. I know you’ll probably wonder and worry a lot about me.How can you know if I am eating right, sleeping enough, being active but not too active? How can you be sure I am taking my prenatal vitamins, that I’m avoiding too much coffee, or that I won’t be exposed to something I shouldn’t be? Can you be sure that on delivery day, we’ll all be on the same page medically? Can you rest assured that I will carry your child with as much care as my own? How will you know that I will be as communicative as you’d want? The answer to all those questions is you can’t know and you can’t be sure, you just have to trust me.I will do the same for you.I will trust that you’ll understand my needs and my judgment, just as I will do for you.I will communicate with you every step of the way and I am *** willing to compromise on things you may want me to change. At the end of this journey, I hope we can look back on the time where we were just strangers to one another and laugh.Laugh because of how scared we all are about this journey just have it turn out perfect in the end.I look forward to giving you the gift of a precious child.
