We were almost there...... We had our egg donor and we had our surrogate, we'd met them both and got along famously but unfortunately, through no fault of her own, we've lost our surrogate and we're back at square one. She is devestated and feels that she has let us down but she shouldn't because we have made a friend and will be forever grateful that she tried to help us. So, here we are looking for another wonderful lady that would be prepared to help us achieve our dream of becoming parents. Here is our story. Hi, my name is Anthony and my partners name is Jerome. A very young 51 and 41 respectively. ;) We've been together over twenty years and live with our dogs in Melbourne. We have a fortunate life but, like many of you, there is one thing missing. We desperately want to have a child to make us complete. We had resigned ourselves that the dogs might have to do but then stumbled upon a surrogacy site and thought we need to give this a go before it gets too late. I have many nieces and nephews and now they too are having their own children. I am Godparent to some of them and have a close relationship but when we're all together I can't help but feel envious that they have something that I so desperately want. I still adore them all but it's just not the same as having your own. So, like almost everyone else here, we are looking for that special person who would become a surrogate for us. We have, on this journey so far, met and spoken with some wonderful people including a "retired" surrogate who have given much needed advice and have humbled us with what they so selflessly do for others less fortunate. In our opinion both egg donors and surrogates give the gift that can never be repaid. Hi Sarah, we were told only a week ago that the chances of us having a child together is very slim as we have a *** DQ alpha match, meaning that my sperm doesnt send a signal to my wife's womb to protect the embryo.it's a really rare thing to happen and basically happens as we have very similar DQ alpha genes.A persons dq alpha genes dont affect their health but they need to be different so the body's immune system doesnt attack it.We have been married ofr 3 years and have been trying to have kids for 2 years, including 2 ivf cycles.now we were told our only opportunity is surrogacy or donor sperm.Just started talking to friends about it to see who is available but thought id check online too.Wondering what your position is? we are married and live in Melbourne so would be happy to support you during pregnancy.we are with monash IVF who are doing all the technical stuff.
